Fel is getting better all the time, with new spawn and great new dungeons to explore. Thanks! Some observations, fixes and comments in random order:
-Increase loot quality a touch. Even high level customs drop really, really bad items. -Disable the [pray command -Put some spawn in T2A, champ spawn perhaps? -Serpent pillars, Jhelom and Moonglow Island teleporters are broken. -Increase the frequency and length of the random spawns, they're rarely if ever seen let alone fought. -Self repair seems to be broken -Add overland spawn for tamers to train (bears, wolves, etc) -Add the Hag’s Quest and perhaps others? -Too many custom monsters auto-dispel. Mages could use a bit of a break here, as summons are the only effective weapon against most big game.
-What are the requirements to build a static home in a settled town? -Does the guildmaster need to give permission? -Is just being a member of the town guild enough? -What happens to their home if the player is kicked out of the town guild?
-Clay is way too hard to come by. The frequency in Fel does not appear to be increased as intended. Clearly it is supposed to be difficult to build walls, but at the current rate it simply won’t happen.
-Is stealing allowed in Occlo?
-Are gardener NPCs available? How about pet rez NPCs?

I am thinking no to the stealing in occlo. That would be considered an attack on a person. PVP is totally forbidden in occlo.

I think you are allowed to train stealing since you don't need to steal from another character to do this you just need a packy and the supplies to do so. But it is something that the staff should put the final ruling on to avoid getting in trouble.

Interesting and some valid points. Hmm where to start though?
On the champ spawn in T2A, from my understanding there is already a means of getting scrolls via Hearts. I think OSI style champs were avoided because of the large gold spread (among other reasons).
Loot quality. Some things can be increased manually. With the addition of luck loot quality (not quantity) increased somewhat.
Increase frequency of random spawns. I think Rhy touched on this one regarding Rikktor.
Self Repair. I have noticed tram side that self repair seems to have a mind of its own. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
[pray command. It has its good points though. In pvp yes it could cost you some loot from someone you just killed, but it could also save your loot when you are killed. Another great point about it is exploring. Sometimes there just isn't an ankh or a healer around. It is limited massively though. at Glorious Lord I was able to do it 6 times before it drained me to just "The Lord". And -karma people can not use it at all.
Stealing in Occlo. That's a hard one. According to OSI's description, Stealing is not technically considered attacking, it falls into the category of provoking. (much like field jumping). As for training stealing, as long as you do it on an animal or a chest that you personally own there shouldn't be a problem.

Thanks for the reply. I would like to get the "official" answer for the questions below. The town questions are particularly important as we consider the future of our town. If we have total control over housing, we might be comfortable throwing open the doors and welcoming the entire shard to settle and get started there - but we'd want to be able to boot any miscreants that can't remain civilized, etc.
-What are the requirements to build a static home in a settled town? -Does the guildmaster need to give permission? -Is just being a member of the town guild enough? -What happens to their home if the player is kicked out of the town guild?
-Are gardener NPCs available for purchase? How about pet rez NPCs?
Also, while there is a method for getting power scrolls there isn't one for getting stat scrolls. Is it possible to tweak a champ spawn to yield stat scrolls and gold in a more reasonable amount?
With regard to the [pray command, I get that it's handy but it's totally against the nature of the shard IMO. I'm as lazy as the next guy, but there really are very few places you can die and not get to an ahnk or healer in a few minutes. Further, it seems a bit discriminatory to be based on karma rather than fame. A necro, for instance, shouldn't be allowed to self-rez while a mage can?

Technically speaking, self rez has been in for along time, even on OSI. The Sacrifice virtue is an extremely easy virtue to do with great rewards and anyone can do it since its fame based. As for being one sided, not really. There is a fame self rez already in place. Neg karma has always had it rough (any one try running a necro in spirituality?) While there are some virtues to being neg karma (necro spells are better) sadly most things are geared towards the positive karma side.
In regards to places to get stuck. There are actually lots of places one can get stuck and die but not be able to hit an ankh. In Despise for example there are 4 spots on the bottom floor that one can teleport into but no way out if you die. Lost lands are another place. I know at least on Tram side the ankhs and healers are very few and far between there.
As for stat scrolls. Yes I think there should be a way to get stat scrolls in Fel. Just to even the playing field some.

Good points, yet it is currently not possible to raise Sacrifice with no escort NPCs. Also, even the highest path of Sacrifice is limited to three times per week rather than multiple times per day.
With regard to getting stuck, the corpse NPC would resolve this as well if it were buyable. It just seems a little too convenient right now to run around and self rez. Perhaps the karma cost can be higher in Fel?
With regard to saving loot if you're killed in PVP, I don't see this playing much of a role. Currently, everything is insurable. Further, we're along way from having any PVP in Fel so self rez is really more of an issue of the pioneer spirit of the facet in my mind. Hey, ya die, you may have to run around gray-screened a bit. Particularly when 1 min rez-kill protection is active, I see it as a bit much in its current form.
Oh, one other question, can vendor maintenance costs be set to zero? There simply aren't enough people to buy stuff and cover the costs, yet we'd like to stock some items for new chars and others to be able to purchase (spellbooks, armor, etc.) while we aren't around.

Ok ill answer the last one first, vendors Im not a good enough scriptor to split the vendor system I just would not even know how to go about it its in the engine which i rearely go near, the best thing here would be splitting the cost of the vendor and get folks to pool in for its upkeep, maybee one do books one do something else all general newbie type stuff. The [pray command is in testing we are not sure if we like that one but ill see if its possible to stop us using the command in fel, I did not make this command though it came down from runuo make out of the vertues no doubt but a faster way to get it. Unfortinately we cannot designate on the script more than one faccet for champs, thats why carpe put the hearts in, im sure he has more ideas comming up though. Self repair runuo will tell you is not broken, its tempremental if there is such a thing for a script to be, it works but its on a % and complex but it does work, mind you anything under 5 is shoddy. The serpent pillers were taken out so they are not working by choice im afraid. I am unsure on carpes thaughts about the quests such as the haggs one which is of little use really but saying that im sure we will eventually have quests felucca side that would be of use to fel people, there are a lot of plans with things like this. Jhelom teleporters are an accident ill sort that one out, you can buy teleporters though from any doc etc like coves one, so it will at least get you to different areas, not forgetting papua also has a port so you could do this collectively as a shard of fel folks. As for towns lets address this, if you are kicked out of a town guild etc etc then the curtious and what I will expect you to do is sell back your home, the town has to elect the mayor by voting system, as you would a guild master kind of thing, I want you to make it a township how you do this and how you see your town developing is mostly up to you, how you police it and keep order etc etc. Spawns in fel admitedly are rather sparce at the moment with being ill I have had little time to throw in bears and things but I will be consentrating on normal overland spawns as soon as possible. A lot of the newer spawns do auto dispell, fel will see a huge influx of different styles of monsters again me being ill have slowed down all the scripting of the monsters we have planned, but all the dungeons will be different, but yes i agree i may be a bit over zelous with autodispell, as I use it in tram as it makes things harder, Ill take a look at this point. Only statics that are glued to the map can be purchased and we will always make sure that the person is part of the town guild before they can buy them, yes the guild should be involved as to who gets what it should be a demographic discission with meatings perhaps. Clay needs looking at again, Its basically in testing mode in fel, I have spoken to a member of staff that does a lot of the clay work in fel so I know this needs looking into. Stealing is not atacking you need to train, but in occlo all I want is people to feel free from the worry of other parts of Fel, I don't mind you snooping and training that way, but do not urk people in Occlo most will be happy for you to train on them im sure, if you ask first rather than sidling up to folks and snooping them would be nice, as for stealing leave it to oustide Occlo its the only safe haven in fel as even towns are not guarded, and I can put in escourts if you like so you can take them out of town and beet the living hell out of them or train by stealing off them We don't have a garden npc that I know of but yes to the pet res as per normal price of vendors and yes to farm hands (gm's make sure its farmhand1 or they will kill if you use farmhand). Basically any npc is purchasable as far as I am aware appart from the tailor. I know progress in Fel is slow at the moment and I am working to bring new things to both faccets that are compatable, ohh for the stat scrolls carpe wants stats to be set as they are for fel this will give a more balanced pvp experience we are thinking.

Thanks for the info Rhosyn. You've done a wonderful job with Fel and I really enjoy it here.
I like Helladius think that the [pray command should come out in fel. I've died a ton of time, which I'm sure everyone is sick of seeing the announcment of my many deaths, but I've never had any trouble getting to a healer or ankh. Plus, this is Fel it is suppose to be harsh. If you die then there should be a chance you lose everything. Personnally I believe there are too many healers and ankhs.
I would also champion that insurance be removed in Fel or make it so you can only insure a couple of items. Again this goes with the concept of fel being harsh.
Lastly, Would it be possible for the citizens of Britain to buy a ferryman that can take folks to Britain only? If so how much would it cost? This could be our contribution to Fel.
Once again, you've done a great job here and I appriciate what you have done. Thanks

You can purchase a ferry teleporter person man thing lol yas and it will only go where you want it to go and be on the doc you want it to be. Only one exception of course Occlo, saying that Brit to Occlo yes Occlo to Brit no, but Brit to Occlo is a handy one just means sailing back also handy for getting to the new confused person whos wondering what hell he walked into when he reaches fel and Occlo lol, quick way to occlo but slow way back but gives chat time . Town to town is fine but again this throws one thing up occupied towns such as minoc might not want you to doc in minnoc so some community chatting should be done here Minoc may say yes thats cool so you can have one to Brit from Minoc and vice versa, this is where your trade towns and partner cities will come into play. Unoccupied towns are left open of course if no one has claimed the town then you can place a tele to the doc, I know some towns will not have docs but the majority. Don't forget that includes Papua and Papua and Delucia are on the list of towns that you can reside in, fast way to T2a as well.

Why not a tailor? Brit has one locked away in its castle. I know I have seen it. It only fair if they can have one other towns should be able to buy one or thiers removed or put out in the town for all to use. Ah its not sacrafice that needs escorts, that is the one where you give away your karma to a dying creature like a lich gargoye etc. The one that needs escorts is compassion. The higher compassion the more hp you can heal on resurection. uo.stratics.com/content/virtues/compassion.shtmluo.stratics.com/content/virtues/sacrifice.shtmluo.stratics.com/content/virtues/honor.shtml not sure if honor works here. Valor and Justice do not apply here, We do not have red players nor do we need to summon champ spawns.

Mixed that up, thanks for the correction. Nonetheless the self-rez opportunities are limited to three times per week, which is most relevant to my point. Not sure about the tailor comment either. If we need to give ours up, no worries there. Assuming we get our 50k back... Though, it would kinda nuke the BOD system, which doesn't seem very desirable.

heck I think there ought to be a tailor in Occlo for newbie tailors to get BOD cloth. That stuff is really pretty especially the pink.

Speaking of pink, you should see Chenonceau in his pretty rose colored "I play like a Big Girl" dress complete with handbag. Very fetching. ;D ;D
